![]() To my left, standing nearly within reach of the stage, a woman in a silver monochrome outfit-sequined dress, metallic sneakers, princess tiara, and all-danced to Trap Beckham’s twerk-inducing “Birthday Bitch,” before pausing briefly to adjust the pageant sash draped across her chest, which proudly identified her as USHER’S #1 FAN. The venue seats just over 5,000 people, a far cry from the 20,000-plus fans who have piled into a sold-out Madison Square Garden to see Usher over the years. “We’re getting ready to light this bitch up,” he said.Ī few hours after our conversation, in the giddy run-up to the show, I watched the crowd swell into the Dolby Live. He reminisced about the early days of planning the show. ![]() He told me that without the burden of packing up a set, hopping onto a tour bus, and assembling it all over again across the country, he could run wild with My Way. This time around, he would have an even larger venue, and he wanted to do more than a standard concert. In July of 2021, he became the first Black male singer to hold court at the famed Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Usher was fresh from a full-body workout when we met. Much of his own family would be in the sold-out audience, along with fans who’d traveled from around the world to see him break into the famous “U Remind Me” shadow choreography, sway his way through “You Make Me Wanna …” in a satin robe and leather pants, and strip the set bare to let his “Can U Handle It?” falsettos float. That night was a big night for Usher, an unveiling of sorts: the first official performance of the new leg of My Way, his residency at the Park MGM hotel and casino in Las Vegas. It wasn’t until he removed his sunglasses midway through our interview that I felt the weight of his celebrity, his innate sense that any room he walks into is distorted by his magnetism. He strode into the room diamonds first, a thick chain around his neck sparkling against an all-black backdrop of sweat suit, sunglasses, and durag. Into this uncanny scene walked Usher, the veteran R&B musician with a discography so obviously peerless that his only viable Verzuz competitor is himself. I waited for him on a couch in the middle of the afternoon, leaning back against gold-lamé throw pillows, feeling as though I’d stumbled into a therapist’s office decorated to look like a strip club. “The teal room,” as Usher and his team call it, is where the artist will later celebrate the spring kickoff of his new residency. Along the far wall, light strips flank the liquor-covered bar, illuminating a step-and-repeat covered with $100 bills bearing Usher’s likeness. The space itself, a storefront-size chamber tucked away from the Las Vegas stage where he would perform that night, is awash in an almost eerie, LED blue. ![]() I don’t mean that in a figurative sense, though the megastar certainly does luminesce in his own way. The room where I’m set to meet Usher is glowing.

To place plots into the layout editor, just drag and drop samples or populations from the workspace into the layout editor window. For more details, please go here. Scaling preferences exist in the general program preferences as well…. For more on the T button and how to change scaling, please go here. Updates to scaling and transformation propagate to the image in the layout editor as well. The scale of the parameter can be altered using the T button in the graph window. Simply drag a sample into the layout editor and then drag another sample or population from the workspace on top of an existing graph in the layout editor. Samples can then be added to the group via drag-and-drop, or more effectively, by defining membership criteria for the group either at the time of creation or afterwards by double-clicking on the group.įollow this link for instructions on how to create and edit a group.įollow this link for instructions on how to apply gates and statistics to FCS files in a group.įollow this link for hints on creating groups.Overlays are done in the layout editor. Manually Created – these groups are created by clicking on the New Group Button in the workspace.FlowJo will pull all samples with matching criteria into the group. Automatically Created – there are two main ways to auto-create groups: 1) Add a folder of samples to the workspace –FlowJo will create a group with the same name as the folder (and all sub-folders) 2) Use the Group Dialog window to create groups based on staining panel or keyword combination.Deleting a file from any other group only leads to its removal from that specific group. A file deleted from the All Samples group is removed from the workspace entirely. The “All Samples” group can neither be renamed or deleted. All Samples – A general repository that holds every FCS file added to the workspace.FlowJo will apply a gating tree made on an FCS file to all occurrences of the file in any group. A common example is that one might add data to a workspace, organize it in groups by the reagents the data were stained with so gates may be easily applied to common parameters, and simultaneously arrange the data within a second set of groups by patient ID for the purpose of creating an output report. It is important to note that a sample may belong to more than one group, i.e. For example, the Compensation group is present in all new workspaces it automatically searches for compensation controls, and when populated, enables the compensation wizard. The role tells the user what the purpose or meaning of the group is, and in some cases executes some specific action. Figure 1 shows the group window of a workspace with five groups in it, along with the number of FCS files that are contained in each group and the role of the group. Grouping is useful for organization, application of gates, and in batch operations in the Table and Layout Editors.įlowJo lists the groups in the upper portion of the workspace window. Think of grouping as adding labels to samples, where the labels correspond to patterns in a data set. You may want to collect samples that were stained with the same panel of reagents, were collected on the same day, have the word ‘control’ in the file name, or are related based on any other bit of metadata. Any action that you would like to apply to more than one file can be achieved by applying that action to a FlowJo Group.įlowJo uses Groups in the workspace to collect similar samples. Groups in FlowJo are surrogates for a set of FCS files, and are thus the basic functional unit of anyone working in an effective high-throughput manner. ![]() An upbeat and silly soundtrack that encapsulates the nature of the game. Meta has recalled the foam inserts from the original model and is offering silicone covers to make the headset more comfortable. And if you want an even more comfortable fit, you can snag the Elite headstrap for $49 (or $129 with a built-in battery and case). You can also use different face pads to increase its field of view a bit. The Quest 2's field of view isn't the best - it's been measured at just around 90 degrees - but it's still enough to enjoy most VR experiences. It also has a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, which is impressive for something running entirely on mobile hardware. The Quest 2 features fast-switching LCDs with a resolution 1832x1920 per eye, the highest we've seen from Meta. You can also connect the Quest 2 to a gaming PC to stream more complex VR experiences. Here’s what’s still good, though: there's a huge library of virtual reality titles that you can experience anywhere, and it's bundled with Meta’s great motion controllers. It’s still a great device, but it’s also in the strange position of being a worse deal than it was last year. Unfortunately, due to supply chain pressures and a worsening economic climate, Meta ended up increasing the Quest 2’s price by $100 this year, making it a $400 headset. It's completely cordless, and it's comfortable to wear for long sessions. Over two years since its release, the Meta Quest 2 remains the best VR headset for the vast majority of consumers. Best VR headset for most people: Meta Quest 2 The industry has basically adopted the design of Meta’s excellent touch controllers, but we're also seeing intriguing leaps forward like Valve's finger tracking gamepads. Field of view is also a major element, as it describes how well VR screens can cover what you see. Immersion, meanwhile, comes from having high resolution screens with fast refresh rates, so the visuals are sharp and smooth. But it takes skill to craft something that's well balanced and doesn't feel uncomfortable after 30 minutes. It's not that hard to shove a mobile display into a plastic headset and strap some cheap elastic headbands onto it. I tend to judge virtual reality headsets on a few basic criteria: Ergonomics, immersion and controls. What happens if you scratch on the break? Some versions only allow players to place the ball behind the line on the table, often called the head line or baulk line.Īnother penalty often enforced when players commit a scratch is that they must take one of their own balls and place it back onto the table. We would like to make note that there are many variations to what happens when players scratch in Billiards. When a player commits a scratch, the opposition may place the ball wherever they want on the table in our Coolmath Games version of Billiards. Just make sure not to hit in the 8 Ball before all of your other balls are sunk, or else it is game over for you! What is the difference between Pool and Billiards? When all of the balls of one player are sunk, they must hit in the 8 Ball to win the game. This is done by hitting the white ball, also known as the cue ball, against the other balls.Įach player is trying to hit in either all of the striped or solid balls. The objective of Billiards is pretty simple – sink all of your balls in any of the six pockets before the opponent sinks theirs first. Then, just take the shot and watch the cue ball redirect back toward you after it hits another ball. For example, if you want to put backspin on the ball, click on the cue ball icon and move it to the very bottom of the ball. Move it toward the direction that you want it to spin. It can be very helpful for setting up your next shot by getting a better position. This will affect how the cue ball will move after it makes contact with another one of the balls. ![]() Oftentimes, players may want to change the spin on the ball. When a user clicks on the row selector, the row will either become selected or deselected, enabling the user to select multiple rows of data. The autoGroupColumnDef contains a cellRendererSelector to conditionally select the Cell Renderer. This is demonstrated in the example below. Note that a Custom Component Cell Renderer could also be returned. After all this wasted time I’m extremely annoyed at the. If you expand the row programmatically it works fine. Turns out the detail grid really IS there, it’s just that the arrow to expand the row is not rendered for reasons I have yet to understand. For example, the callback for the cellClicked event is gridOptions.onCellClicked. Browser: Have tried on browsers : Chrome, IE, Edge. The name of the callback is constructed by prefixing the event name with on. The API has expandAll and collapseAll: api.expandAll () api.collapseAll () Note that due to the crappy architecture of AG Grid the expansion state (along with row selection etc) is lost if the row data changes or the grid is re-mounted/re-rendered. You register callbacks for these events through the GridOptions interface. In the snippet above group cells that contain 'Australia' or 'Norway' group keys will use the Default Cell Renderer instead This is a list of the events that the grid raises. Here is an example of a column and its configuration: const gridOptions = The grid's group cell renderer takes many parameters to configure it. The key for the group cell renderer is agGroupCellRenderer. You can read more about custom CellRenderers in our documentation. If you are grouping in the grid, then you will need to provide a group cell renderer as the group cell renderer is what provides the user with the expand and collapse functionality. Use this event if, for example, you need to use the grid's API to fix the columns to size. To achieve this the example provides a custom cellRenderer for the action column to render the appropriate buttons based on whether the row is in edit mode or not. The name 'ready' was influenced by the authors time programming the Commodore 64. Clicking the Edit button will start editing the row and display Update and Cancel buttons instead, which when clicked will end editing and once again display the Edit and Delete buttons. When a row is not edited, we display buttons Edit and Delete. I have a requirement to Display a parent row (data in all columns) with a column dedicated to Group Expand/Collapse Icon. We add an "action" column in the grid to render buttons to control editing and deletion. Let's take a look at how this is implemented. If you have many nodes you want to expand, then it is best to set node.expandedtrue directly, and then call api.onGroupExpandedOrCollapsed () when finished to get the grid to redraw the grid again just once. ![]()
